Transparency versus Opaque

Posted by BertsPost on June 17, 2009 | Share | (0) Comments

transparent - free of deceit
guileless
square, straight - characterized by honesty and fairness; “straight dealing”; “a square deal”

Opaque - 1. not able to be seen through; not transparent or translucent
2. hard to understand; unintelligible [Latin opacus shady]

The Obama administration promised his administration would be the most transparent, not only the most transparent, but completely transparent. We would have the books opened and see how our government is operating. This is “clearly” not what is going on. We are being blocked from knowing who is in on the health care debate. In fact, Washington has become more opaque than ever before.

To Obama, House of Representatives, and Senate, we want you to stop with all the regulating this, regulating that, running this, running that. Government is not the answer. No where in the Constitution of this country does it say anything about running car companies, firing executives, determining people’s wages, running healthcare, and all the other ways you are infiltrating our lives. We want and demand liberty! You in Washington are not listening. Do you see what is happening in Iran? The people are willing to die for their freedom. Sound familiar? America has a long history of people willing to die for our freedom. Millions have died for our freedom. They did not die in vain. They did not die so you could come along and take away all of our freedoms.

LET FREEDOM RING!!! How ironic that Iran is fighting for their freedom and we in America are allowing ours to be taken without so much as a whimper. Their freedom is taken away by their vote. Hmm, so was ours.
