Do you remember the movie Footloose? Do you remember the crazy people in the movie who were burning books, and the townspeople nut jobs who did not allow dancing because it was bad? Well, America is becoming like that. I see it on my television set every day. From women spouting off about forcing people to eat healthy foods, to others spouting off about regulating everything under the sun, we are quickly becoming a nation of loons. And yes, I am probably going to be accused of offending people with mental illness, but actually I am not offending people with true mental illness. I am talking about the crazy lunatics who are in Washington on down who have decided they have to right to tell Americans what they can and cannot do in every facet of their lives.
This is nuts! Look at Footloose, see the maniacs burning books, banning dancing, and think if you are one of them. Every American has the God-given right to pursue happiness and if that means eating 100 Big Macs, than so be it. You have no right to tell them otherwise. You also have no right to intrude on our lives, and you know who you are. Leave us alone!
Carrie Nation. Does that name ring a bell? She was the woman who decided alcohol was bad for you and convinced an entire nation, America, to prohibit the sale of alcohol. Well, we all know how that turned out. You crazy people keep it up and you will see a backlash like nothing you have ever witnessed. We have had about all we can take and we are getting ready to blow our stacks! The more you harp on people about eating right, the worse they eat. The more you harp about smoking, the more they smoke, And so on, and so on, and so on. You are violating my rights and the rights of every American to pursue happiness!
Get off my TV! Get out of my life! Again, you know who you are. Life is hard enough without the constant pressure of you people in Washington, and you pundits, and you do-gooders who dog my television set every night with your incessant crap. It is not the government’s job to see that I have self-control. It is not the government’s job to control every aspect of my life, to regulate this and regulate that, pay for this and pay for that, mandate this and mandate that. Give me a break! Leave the Czar’s to Russia. Get the women who whine about obesity off of my television, women who have never had a weight problem in their lives. Stop giving the crazy people the microphone. Stop putting them on my television set. I am waiting for my Nobel Peace Prize for this article. Thank you very much.
