I find it truly amazing that when everyday Americans express their concern over government spending and control, they are labeled “mobs,” accused of carrying swastikas, etc. Those in Washington who are supposed to be representing us, who in fact are representing themselves, have no right to refer to American citizens in this manner. The president has no right to tell people to stop objecting to his ideas and plans. We have every right to oppose government and make our voices heard.
Apparently, those in Washington have forgotten who pays their salaries. They are trying to cram healthcare reform down our throats without so much as reading the bill they are trying to pass, informing America of what is truly in the bill they are trying to pass, and deceiving Americans as to what their agenda will produce. They are slamming those that oppose and try to tell the truth. This is Obama’s America and we will not tolerate it.
I am so tired of hearing that campaign promises mean nothing, that people say things to get elected and it is okay to deceive. It is not okay. Those in Washington were elected based on these campaign promises and they have no right to turn their backs on them.
We are headed for a showdown. In November of 2010, those in Washington will learn that the people in these townhall meetings are not “mobs,” but are in fact the very voters that will take away their positions in Washington. Maybe that will be the wakeup call Washington desperately needs.
