While as yet unproven whether the planet is heating up and also unproven as to what part man plays in this, and certainly unproven that man can stop it, Congress has gone ahead and passed a bill for “climate control.” Does anyone find it amazing that many in congress have invested in “green” energy and stand to make a fortune with the passage of this bill if it goes through the senate? So, let’s get this straight, you are in a position of power, you can make laws forcing people to use products that you have investments in, does anyone smell a rat? Better yet, several rats? Does anyone sincerly believe Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, or any of them really care one iota about global warming? If you do, I have the bridge in Brooklyn going for real cheap.
I have an idea. Plant more trees. Trees give us oxygen. Trees reduce carbon emissions because here is a thought, they like that stuff. It would be much cheaper and better for the landscape and environment to have more trees.
The cost of this bill is going to be astronomical. It will create jobs? BS. What about all the jobs it will take away? So even if it does create some jobs, it will just replace the ones taken away. It will cost a fortune to every American if this bill passes. With the amendment put in at zero hour, it will also give the government unbearable control over every aspect of your life. You will not even be able to sell your house unless the government has decided it is energy efficient enough. Do you seriously want the government to have that much power? We have a government that has run amok. Lying, cheating, stealing, they are finding every way into the very crevices of your life. Who do they think they are?
If one more person says change - I am going to puke all over their shoes, I swear. Change is not always good. Too much change too quickly is certainly not good. Apparently, all of the jobs the government will be creating will be police state jobs, babysitting jobs, more people getting paid for doing nothing.
So far, they have passed a huge stimulus promising jobs if it passed, NO JOBS! Well, they have extended unemployment. Who wants unemployment - don’t you want jobs???
If the senate passes this bill, I am really going to be upset. I pray they are smarter than the house and do not pass this bill. This is bad for America! These are supposed to be our representatives. They are only representing themselves.
Heads up while I am at it, the Census. The Constitution says the people must be counted. That’s it!! Counted. Telling the government how much money you make, what you do for a living, etc., already in the tax code. Telling them what kind of toilet paper you use - none of their business!!!
